Artificial Intelligence and Cancer

Took place on: March 19, 2026 | Hours: 16:00–17:00 CET

Artificial Intelligence is already transforming oncology

The question is: are we ready to realize its full potential in lung cancer?

In this webinar we addressed how machine learning models applied to clinical data and biomarkers can improve risk prediction, patient stratification and clinical decision-making.

Here is the structure of the webinar.

🔹 Keynote Lecture (20 min) – Dr Rubén López Aladid

Specialist in Bioinformatics and AI applied to clinical data, with more than 15 years of experience in hospital environments. He presented real cases and the main challenges to implement interpretable and clinically actionable AI models.

🔹 Presentation of the LungPredict project - Dr Esther Fernández (10 min)

🔹 Panel discussion and moderation - Dr Eudald Casals - Debate + Q&A (30 min)

Experts in oncology, data science and translational research discussed current opportunities and challenges.
